Adele Bernstein Memorial Scholarship Program

In memory of Adele Bernstein and in recognition of her lifetime of contributions to the community, the SOS Shelter, Inc. announces an annual scholarship in her honor.   Ms. Bernstein was a woman of great strength and character.  She was a journalist, editor, and local political leader.  There is much we can learn from her example.  Adele Bernstein's gift has made it possible for women to be empowered and to enrich their lives. This scholarship also recognizes the achievements of victims of domestic violence, and will award a scholarship to someone who has triumphed over it.
